The official first day of summer is June 21st! And if you are like us, that summer mode started a couple of weeks ago, just as things began to warm up a bit.
For us, we find the time to be great for spending outside, with the family, and making new memories! From the trips to the beach, outdoor cookouts and movie nights with friends, to the epic road trips and summer events we come across, we find summer to be a great time to explore and relax! We also enjoy adding some of those must have summer staples to our time together such as those juicy popsicles, homemade ice cream, water toys, outdoor games, with an added pinch of plenty of laughter and love!

Watermelon is a staple in our home. We have yet to get it to grow in WA like we had years ago in TX, but I am not giving up on the dream, lol. We have saved seeds each year, even get a vine going, and last year we had 2 watermelons actually grow but only 1 that we were able to eat, it was really small. We have several areas of the property we are trying this year to see if maybe a certain place will be better than others, not even a sprout yet…
