When I come across movies that are based on some of my favorite books from both my past and present lists, well, I get excited! And the new movie from the collection of books by Judy Blume, ‘Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret’ is definitely on the list.

I found this movie to be one that is relatable in so many ways. I mean, when I was 11 my family moved across the country. Which is part of what made me like the book so much when I was younger. So seeing a movie that has that relatable, pre-teen awkward character who talks about a lot of the same fears kids face, I found it to be a new favorite. I loved the awkward moments that are shared with the audiences; the whole “new kid in school” feeling of uncertainty that is then topped off with puberty, well, that is something I as well as so many others could relate to and understand. I also liked how comedic it was, finding that I could laugh at those moments shared. And with the movie I was very pleased to see how they brought the much loved novel to life!

So if you are looking for that perfect movie to watch, share, or if you were a fan of the book, then you are going to want to get your copy of, ‘Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret‘, today!
