Some might say, “It’s too soon!” while others, like our household, say, “Bring on the spooky season!”. Regardless of your stance on the subject, spooky season has commenced for many. For me, I always begin the subtle decorating in mid-August. This is typically changing out the welcome mat and wreath on the door, and slowly bringing out other fall and Halloween-themed decorations, where by mid-September, my home’s transformation is complete and ready for all things fall and Halloween to commence!
I think one thing I can say is that when it comes to being basic, the pumpkin spice everything being released, is a signal that the season is upon us. That also goes with the fact that our little pumpkin patch is growing and by October, we will have more pumpkins than we will know what to do with! And when I head to the stores and see the spooky Halloween decorations on the shelves, I get more and more excited to add to the decorations we have in place!

My favorite aspect of Fall, is the crisp mornings and days.. nice temps, the changing colors of the leaves, then lastly, but certainly not the least, is the Spooky Season/Halloween that comes with the Fall season. Halloween is my absolute favorite holiday! And Fall is my absolute favorite season out of the year!

Yes, we love making soups, stews, chili….whatever we can slow cook on the stove or in the crock pot!
