The Little Mermaid #Review #TheLittleMermaid

Disney is a shared interest in our home. Finding that we enjoy sharing our favorites from the lineup at Disney, the old and the new. Whether that is some of our favorites from our childhood or finding new ones to add to that ever-growing list, the titles from Disney are ones we enjoy exploring.

For me personally, I can remember specific movies from my childhood that hold great memories, and one in particular, is the memory of watching the animated musical classic, The Little Mermaid, in the theater with my aunt. At the time, The Little Mermaid was all the rave, and like so many kids, I enjoyed not only the movie but also memorizing my favorite songs from the movie. So much so that as a child, I utilized songs from the movie for my audition pieces. Which of course led me to share the movie with my kids. And, like many, when Disney came out with the live-action version of the beloved movie, The Little Mermaid, my family and I could not wait to watch the movie!

The first time we watched, The Little Mermaid, we were not only pleasantly pleased with the newer version but also pleased to see our favorite characters back with more of the real-life versions. We were also excited to hear those iconic songs again as well as add new favorite songs to that list.

So when we were sent the movie, The Little Mermaid to review, we were excited to add it again and again to our family movie nights! I say again and again, because this movie, just like the original from my childhood, has been watched multiple times in our home, during more than one family movie night and has also been shared with friends who have joined us for movie nights as well! Which has made the new Disney movie, The Little Mermaid, a must have for our home as well as any Disney loving home!

    1. It is good! Similar to the animated version, but with lifelike characters. We loved some of the scenes and songs that were familiar from the original, and some of the new ones. One that really stood out that everyone seemed to like is the new song, The Scuttlebutt. If you get a chance, you should look it up and watch the music video for the song, it is cute!
