Back to School with DC Star Wars™ Manteca Grogu Skate Shoes #Review

It’s that time of year again. The time to prepare the kids for the new school year! And with that, when it comes to preparing the kids, as parents, we know that when it comes to fashion, having the must-haves is well, a must!

For Wyatt, he is a guy who knows what he likes. And when we look for the items that he needs and wants for the new school year, we tend to let Wyatt lead the way. This includes the clothing, supplies, and of course, the shoes he will wear to school, and like many kids his age, he is obsessed with just about anything related to the Mandalorian series. So when we were sent the new DC x Star Wars™ Manteca 4 Grogu Skate Shoes to review, Wyatt was ecstatic!

First off, Wyatt tends to seek out skate shoes anytime we are shoe shopping, and well, the DC brand is a favorite of his and his sister Estrella’s. So naturally, the shoe style is one that Wyatt approves of. However, even more, than that is the design.

The first thing Wyatt noticed when he took the shoes out of the box, was all of the fun, hidden, Grogu-themed easter eggs found all over these shoes. He had fun examining the shoes to look for all of the designs, which include the bottoms that have that iconic image of the Sorgan frog that is a favorite snack of Grogu. He found this to be a very cool feature that others might notice as well when he is wearing the shoes. Along with the frog, Wyatt also really likes the footbed that features even more fun Baby Yoda – Grogu themed surprises, finding each shoe shows a different design.

Then aside from the obvious design features that these shoes have which Wyatt can’t wait to show off at school this year, I also find the structural features to stand out. These features include:

• Sturdy canvas uppers
• Breathable mesh lining
• Foam padded collar and tongue for extra comfort
• Lace closure offers a secure fit
• Cushioned footbed with sublimated graphic detail
• Abrasion-resistant sticky rubber outsole with DC’s signature “Pill Pattern” tread delivers premium traction

Finding that between the “cool factor” that the design offers, along with the fit and functionality of these shoes, we can both agree that these are definitely a must have for any Star Wars fan to have for the new school year!
